Lee County is in northern Illinois. It is named for Henry Lee III, an early patriot.
The seat and largest city is Dixon. The Rock River is a principal waterway transversing the county.
It is served by I-39/US-51, I-88, US-30, US-52 and IL-2.
It is bordered by Ogle, Whiteside, Bureau, La Salle and DeKalb Counties.
